Position: Junior Internal Sales Executive
Location: Leeds
Reporting to: Internal Sales Manager

Purpose of the role:

To provide qualified leads and book new business opportunities for the Sales team to help them achieve company sales targets and improve profitability. Integrating into an already successful sales team, you will be required to provide key support to this team by ways of telephone communication as well as monitoring and actioning on several streams of lead generation, both on the internet and social media. You will be required to act with haste in ensuring that these leads are qualified, to the highest of standards, to ensure we maximise sales opportunities for the company overall. Main job role and responsibilities:

  • To work through available data and cleanse appropriately to filter potential customers.
  • To provide qualified leads and book appointments for the sales team, to generate new business.
  • To follow up marketing campaigns and events to generate new prospect leads by telephone, identifying and qualifying opportunities for new business.
  • To engage and interact with decision makers at a senior level to identify new and emerging business opportunities.
  • To build effective relationships with potential clients and existing customers, by use of appropriate questioning, clarification, and language.
  • To identify and qualify opportunities for cross selling Ctrack products to generate business and increase profitability.
  • To speak positively and enthusiastically about the company and its products and services to ensure that a professional company and brand image is always provided to customers and colleagues.
  • To communicate courteously with all customers by telephone, email, and face to face, if needed, building positive relationships.
  • To deal appropriately with queries received via the telephone and / or email and provide written or oral responses to confirm the information or outcome
  • To maintain and update records following every telephone call in our CRM system accurately and in accordance with data protection requirements.
  • To work as part of a team to achieve departmental standards.
  • To work together with other departments and divisions within the organisation to identify any process improvements and improve standards, efficiency, and profitability.
  • To provide sales support and / or assistance to other team members on product solutions.
  • To take responsibility for own personal development in line with agreed annual performance objectives.
  • Such other duties as the management may from time to time reasonably require.
  • To contact with haste, any paid for leads to qualify and book for either the external Sales team or the Internal team
  • To monitor our Live chat feature and respond to any chats in a polite and positive manner

Skills & Qualities:

  • Ideally six months of relevant telephone working experience including lead generation and responding to telephone queries (or potential to learn) would be beneficial however full training will be provided.
  • A working knowledge of how to operate Word, Excel, and E-mail. Use of Dynamics or similar CRM software would be an advantage.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Resilient.
  • Excellent customer focus.
  • Basic geographical knowledge of the UK
  • Good time management.
  • Clear telephone manner and clear listening skills.

  • Demonstrates drive and positive approach to work and a determination and motivation to achieve targets.
  • To ensure that a good level of understanding and knowledge of organisations products and services, which is improved and always maintained, ensuring that customer queries can be dealt with accurately and appropriately and supported by the department.

    Standard hours:

    37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm
