Team Ctrack enters Leeds 10k run to raise £1,600 for charity

A group of employees from Ctrack’s UK head office will be taking part in the Asda Foundation Leeds 10k run in support of national charity Breast Cancer Haven. The team of 16 are looking to raise more than £1,600 for Breast Cancer Haven, which provides emotional, physical and practical support to anyone affected by breast cancer, from its centres across the country.

The fundraising initiative has been spearheaded by Tony Schofield, Ctrack’s Internal Sales Manager. Speaking about the 8th July race he commented: “We are certainly not a group of natural runners by any means, but it is testament to the character and commitment of everyone involved that they are willing to get stuck in to raise much needed funds for such a worthwhile cause. It is a wonderful charity that does amazing things, despite receiving virtually no government funding, so every donation really does make a huge difference.”

Leeds 10k is organised by Run For All and is part of the lasting legacy of the late amateur athlete and fundraiser Jane Tomlinson CBE. Jane made headlines around the world by taking part in a series of incredible endurance events, despite being diagnosed with an incurable cancer. The mum-of-three defied her devastating diagnosis to complete challenge after challenge – from marathons and triathlons to ironman contests and cross-Europe cycle rides.
